Doctor's Assistant The Doctor's Assistant is to provide excellent customer serivce to patients while assiting the Optometrist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and ensure high quality customer service. Conduct accurate and timely pre-testing of patients. Answer phone efficiently in accordance with the company telephone protocol. Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up vists and classes. File all patient records daily. Pull patient files for the next day's appointments. Ensure smooth flow of customers throughout store. Check on status and notify customers when orders are in or of any delays. Verify insurance coverage; annotate coverage in system as needed. Comply with all company cash management policies and procedures. Maintain office and patient files. Ensure store cleanliness policies are adhered to at all times. Accept payment of all purchases according to company policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain sales sheets and records in accounting/inventory application for the OD side. Maintain trial lens supply. Perfrm other duties as needed. Qualifications: Effective interpersonal skills. Must accurately transcribe workds and numbers. Customer Serivce skills. Experience handling multiple phone lines. No Phone Calls, Please.
